London, UK-based security firm CertiVox scored $8 million in its Series B financing from new investor NTT Docomo Ventures and previous backer Octopus Investments to expand its software-based alternative authentication platform.

Debu Purkayastha, a senior international executive who has worked with Google for six years, will be leaving the search giant to join the team at venture capital firm Octopus Investments, Tech Crunch reported.

Octopus Investments led the seed round, which raised more than GBP 700,000 for Uniplaces.

Retail management solutions company Amplience secured GBP3.7 million after the close of a series B financing.

Following its acquisition of GBP 2 million funding in a round led by Octopus investments, Affectv starts the work to meet its goals.

Tatton Capital revealed that it has bought out Prism Capital Management, enhancing its adviser presence in the UK.
