Malaysia-based Etiqa, the insurance unit of Maybank, is said to be thinking of bidding for Indonesian insurer Mega Life Asuransi Jiwa, according to sources interviewed by Bloomberg.

Zafrul Aziz, Maybank's investment banking chief, submitted his resignation and would be joining CIMB Group Holdings Bhd, according to a Bloomberg report.
Sources told Reuters that RHB Bank of Malaysia would poach Maybank's Indonesian unit head Khairussaleh Ramli and appoint him as RHB's new Deputy CEO.
Maybank invested on technology firms across four Southeast Asian countries to help its business processes.
