Ikaria Inc is being fought over by BC Partners Ltd, Onex Corp and American Securities LLC, of which the bidding war could fetch up to USD 2 billion for the former, according to sources who were familiar with the matter.

Tekni-Plex, one of the largest specialty plastic films makers in North America, was acquired by private equity firm American Securities from two other private equity firms who had majority ownership stakes in Tekni-Plex for the last five years.

Private equity firms American Securities LLC and Apollo Global Management LLC (APO.N), and Linamar Corp (LNR.TO), have submitted bids for U.S. auto parts supplier Metaldyne.

Bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S., Canadian and Asian companies.
