After Guardians of the Galaxy blew up theaters last summer, Chris Pratt became one of the hottest names in Hollywood. Every big-name sequel was looking to put Pratt in the title role- including rumors that he'd be the next Indiana Jones in a new reboot, and that the Ghostbusters reboot was spinning off into another reboot, which would star Channing Tatum and Pratt as co-leads. Pratt's also, more officially, starring in a remake of The Magnificent Seven, and is attached to the sci-fi romance Passengers.

But now Chris Pratt's speaking out about his many rumored movie roles, and it turns out they're mostly hype. Maybe entirely hype. Pratt hasn't actually heard of any of them. First, when asked about becoming Indiana Jones, Pratt revealed that someone at Disney had mentioned the new film, but no one had actually pursued him for the lead. And that even if it was possible, he probably wouldn't accept the iconic hat and whip.

"Someone high up at Disney did mention to him a while back that they were picking up the rights to [the franchise]," said Pratt. And besides, his "action-adventure card was fairly full."

Then, Pratt broached the topic of Tatum and himself strapping on Proton Packs and becoming Ghostbusters. "No one has ever even spoken to me about that. Never. I've even seen Channing a couple times. As far as I know, that's complete bulls--t."

So are these sequels just not happening at all? Both films have seemingly been confirmed, so perhaps it's simply that no one has officially broached the topic to Pratt. Or perhaps Pratt's name was bandied about, and that bandying got leaked online- and then the studios in question moved on to someone else. With so little information, it's hard to tell. The one thing that's certain: anyone with their fingers crossed that Chris Pratt will be coming a ghostbusting archaelogist wielding a whip, a proton pack and a dashing sense of humor will probably be waiting a very long time.
