Good news to all Destiny fans - Bungie has recently released the newest patch (1.1.1) of their popular online first person shooter game. The patch went live last Wednesday (February 25, 2015) and featured changes in terms of weapon balancing, player vs. player matchups, Grimoire card usage, and general user interface.

The specific details can be found on the patch notes that they released the same day as the patch, but for those who want to know general information, here are some of the major changes that the developers of Destiny introduced with patch 1.1.1:

Weapon Balancing - weapons were buffed or nerfed based on their effectiveness in the last patch. Most of the areas that were changed pertained to starting ammunition, base damage, effective range value, accuracy and blast pattern. The weapons that were affected by the changes include Auto Rifles, Hand Cannons, Pulse Rifles, Shotguns, and Fusion Rifles.

PVP Matches - players now get to unlock all the playlists once they unlock the Crucible, which they also introduced a new notification. They also made changes to PvP Guardians and match awards, as well as reducing the map sizes in the Iron Banner playlist.

Grimoire Cards - aside from making changes to the score points of several Grimoire cards, Bungie also improved how cards are unlocked such as competing in a certain game, participating in a mission, or even by simply entering orbit.

In addition, Bungie removed several bugs and issues from that last patch such as players not hearing the sound of the bullet that kills their character, and losing ammunition after respawning to name a few.

Yesterday, Bungie released a video answering some of the gaming community's questions pertaining to rewards, the 4th horseman, NLB and more. You can watch the video below:
