Kate Bush last appeared on the concert stage in May of 1979. After 35 years, she made an announcement that surprised her fans—Bush is having 15 shows at the Hammersmith Apollo. The singer scheduled her concert, Before The Dawn, in August and September, reported BBC.

A lot of her fans have been wondering why Kate never held a single concert following her hit show in 1979. She was at the peak of her career when she halted stardom.

The now 55 year old singer chose a very significant venue for her concert in August and September. The Hammersmith Apollo was then known as the Hammersmith Odeon, the same place where she held her Tour of Life concert.

So, why did she stop from having concerts? There have been some speculations that Bush disliked flying which could have been a factor, as she would need to get on a plane to push through with her concerts from city to city.
