The Greek government led by Prime Minister Antonis Samaras was hopeful as talks commence regarding the release of funds by the IMF or the International Monetary Fund, the European Union and the European Central Bank. The Finance Minister for Greece, Yannis Stournaras conducted the initial meeting with the representatives of the aforementioned organizations to ensure the success of the venture.

The stakes that are set are indeed high since this release of funding is set to be one of the biggest for Greece. Athens stands to benefit most of all from these talks because of the much needed bailout that is set at the end of the 2014 which is estimated to be at Euro 240 Billion .

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, along with the Greek government, is hopeful that the talks will wrap up post haste so that the funding would be disbursed at the end of the coming month.
