Larkfleet's housing unit, Lark Energy, is planning to sell a majority of its 100 megawatt asset. The assets consist of permitted solar projects which are currently ahead of construction.

Lark Energy is expecting to sell these projects, which include the United Kingdom's biggest solar energy focused enterprises, to solar fund investors, pension funds, and investment banks, according to spokesperson Jonathan Selwyn. The company will continue to build at least half of the projects. Some of them are still being considered for retention.

This announcement comes as the industry surged in the country. The government's support in the solar energy sector drove the industry to great heights, with over 500 megawatts of PV (photovoltaic) plants larger than 1 megawatt being prepared for installation this year. This figure is at least quadruple the amount than last year, according to Bloomberg's New Energy Finance.

Lark Energy has installed a total of 60 megawatts since its inception in 2011.
