MODERN FAMILY - 'The Day Alex Left for College' - Phil and Claire are feeling a little snubbed by their kids when Alex intentionally gives them the wrong college move in date to avoid making it a big deal, and Luke seems less than eager to spend the day with Phil at his open house and would rather go hang out with some guys from school. Many characters are moving in the next chapter of their lives in 'Modern Family' Season 7. The straight A student, Alex goes to college and start living away from her parents. Joe also starts studying this season, as the 3-year-old son of the Pritchetts goes to pre-school.
According to TV Guide, Claire (Julie Bowen) and Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) middle child is all set for her move in day. However, she doesn't want her parents to know when. Alex (Ariel Winter) will give them false information, as she wants them to treat her as an adult who is capable of being independent.
In addition, co-creator Christopher Lloyd shared to Yahoo TV about the new phase in Alex's life and how her parents are dealing with it. Lloyd stated, "I think it hits Phil a little bit harder than Claire, because Claire's more involved in her professional life at this point. Claire is much more immersed in her work life, but Phil takes it kind of hard."
Aside from Alex becoming a college student, Jay (Ed O'Neill) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara) Pritchett's son Joe (Jeremy Maguire) will be going to pre-school. The child actor who will be playing the character would be around 3 1/2 year old this upcoming season as mentioned on Christian Post.
Alex finally moves away with her parents to study in a university. She starts lying to her parents to be able to live her life like an independent girl. Additionally, the co-creator teased that Phil will be more emotional than Claire with their daughter far away from them. Moreover, Joe also goes to pre-school
The 2nd episode of 'Modern Family' Season 7 is entitled, "The Day Alex Left for College". 'Modern Family' Season 7 airs every Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. exclusively on ABC. The said episode is set to air in Sept. 30, 2015.
