Apple has released yet another update, the iOS 9 beta 2, for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices. This update with build number 13B5119e is currently available for developers through Apple Developer Center or over-the-air (OTA).

Two weeks ago, the first iOS 9.1 beta was publicly released. It brought with it API support for 3D Touch, Live Photos, as well as a new set of emojis, which is preferred more by social media users. The iOS 9 update gives support for the new iPad Pro along with its accessories, Smart Keyboard, and Apple Pencil.

The iOS 9.1 beta 2 update is now available to those enrolled in the Apple Developer Program, which requires a $99 annual fee to sign up. This update is a pure bug fix and performance enhancing release. Most of the modifications are under the hood and are further improvements of functionality included in beta 1.

According to some reports, the final version of iOS 9.1 will be available for everyone to download when the iPad Pro starts shipping out. However, iOS 9.1 beta 2 software is available for testing through Apple's Beta Software Program.

The official public release of the iOS 9.1 remains unknown, but it has taken a step closer now that beta 2 has gone live. With this, rumor has it that the public might get a hold on the first major iOS 9 update next month.

In case the iOS 9.1 beta 1 runs on iDevices, it is highly recommended that the user updates the device right away to obtain the benefits of Apple's latest beta software. To perform this one, simply launch the Settings application and go to General then to Software Update. Click the download and install button and the update will be processed. The user will be required to restart the device after the installation process, that is why patience is very much needed during the roll over.
