Sony Confirms Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Rollout to Xperia Z4, Xperia Z4v, & Z4 Tablet

Sony is officially rolling out the 5.1.1 version of Android Lollipop to Xperia Z4 variants as soon as the Android 6.0 Marshmallow debuts later this month, reports tell. Although Sony has already confirmed that rollout, the tech firm remains silent when to let out the much-awaited update.
Sony is not passing up the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, unlike LG, as it is currently announcing series of rollouts to its devices with 5.1.1 software version of Lollipop. Xperia Z4, Xperia Z4v, & Z4 Tablet are among the devcies Sony has already confirmed to get the update.
Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is reportedly to these device in a matter of two weeks. Last July, it was already rumored to update these devices but the news was not true after all. This time, the news came straight from Sony Japan.
Sony was trying to release updates now in the Japanese territories as it has been known to be behind Android rollouts. The latest and final Lollipop version is expected to bring a security patch for the infamous Stagefright threat, plus a few minor tweaks and improvements in battery and overall performance.
Currently, Sony has let out a changelog of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop from Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Changes include additional options for Wi-Fi connection and Bluetooth in the notification menu and new icons being used in the settings menu. Lollipop is also expected to bring changes in animations and a lot more.
