Bandai Namco has officially confirmed that the newest Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 key protagonist in the final arc, the 4th Great Ninja War, is playable for the first time in Naruto Games' history. 

This news is revealed in Bandai Namco official website who says that Obito, who will be fused with Zetsu, is going to be part of the game's massive cast of fighters. The statement reads:

"BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment and CyberConnect 2 are happy to disclose that one of the key protagonists in the final Arc, the 4^th Great Ninja War,Obito (Fused with Zetsu) is joining STORM 4's massive cast! Kakashi's comrade will be playable for the first time ever in a NARUTO SHIPPUDEN game! Gamers will be able to utilize all of his signature moves in Ninja action-packed fights!"

For those who do not know, Obito Uchiha, a member of Konohagakure's Uchiha clan, is one of the protagonist in the final Arc the 4th Great Ninja War in the Naruto manga and anime series.

An issue of Jump magazine last week revealed new playable characters for the latest Naruto game including Obito, Rin, and Kakashi who will join to make up Team Minato. And together they will join the older versions of Sasuke, Sakura, Hinata, and Naruto who are also characters will also be playable. The older versions of Sasuke, Sakura, Hinata appeared from The Last: Naruto the Movie.

Last week, some Naruto Shippuden game fans noticed that Microsoft Store have mentioned in their games listing that the game will be released on August 18, 2015, but the retailer removed it after several hours.

Whether it is just an error of blindly posting in a release date box, or an error of revealing the release date too early, there is a fair chance that it could be true because Bandai Namco recently has announced that the release date of the latest franchise of the game will be during the Fall season in North America and the month of August will be in that season.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC confirmed to release this Fall across North America, Japan and other regions.
