The TV series Powers will make a comeback on Playstation Network next year. A bigger Powers cast will be expected with the addition of characters and storylines from the Marvel comic book. Powers Season 2 will reveal the struggle of Christian Walker as he lost his super powers to fight.

MORE POWERFUL

Sony Computer Entertainment announced on Wednesday that Powers has been renewed for a second season in 2016 in the U.S. although there is no exact date yet. A report says Sony is so happy about the successful first season which just ended last March of this year that they are excited to launch a sequel soon. The storyline will still be original as in its adapted comic book. Sony promised that viewers can expect a lot of good things to look forward to in the new season with a new plot and new characters in tow.

Powers focuses on Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) who used to be a superhero but lost his strong powers to fight a supervillain. He now works as a homicide detective at the Powers department together with his partner Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward). Other characters are Retro Girl (Michelle Forbes), Game of Thrones star Noah Taylor as Wolfe, Eddie Izzard as Johnny Royalle and Olesya Rulin as Calista, a teenage hero.

Christian and Deena investigate on cases of people with unusual powers. A source says that in Season 2, the team up will probe on commercialized superhumans who manipulate their powers on the public who in turn either dread or follow them.

Executive producers for the show are Michael Avon Oeming, Charlie Huston, Frank Frattaroli, Lawrence Mattis, David Engel and Brian Michael Bendis. Bendis is the writer of the comics who also served as co-creator during Powers' first season. The series was originally developed on FX before it debuted on Playstation Network.

As Powers Season 2 will be available on the Playstation Network soon, fans could only wish them goodluck and more power.
