"Frozen" was a massive hit in the box office and Disney is looking to capitalize on its success with the announcement that a sequel is in the works. Already, rumors are coming in about the possible plot that the sequel will revolve around.

The most probable to happen of which is the appearance of a new female villain. The arrest of Prince Hans in the first movie means a new baddie might be needed for the sequel after all. Aside from these rumors about the possible storyline, not much can be gleaned as Disney has kept mum about the sequel's plot.

Returning Cast

While there are still uncertainties about the sequel's story, the same cannot be said for its cast.  Already, stars of the first movie have been officially announced to be making their comeback.  Idina Menzel, who voiced the character of Elsa will be back for the second movie.

Josh Gad who achieved plenty of success after lending his voice to loveable snowman Olaf will also be back. Kristen Bell on the other hand has not yet been confirmed for a return but there is a big chance of her being in cast of "Frozen 2".

The directing duo of Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck will also be back to guide the development of the movie. Meanwhile, Peter Del Vecho is on board to produce the sequel.

Long Wait

While the sequel is on its way to being developed, fans of the show would have to wait for a while before they can see it. Disney CEO Robert Iger recently said that they are not after speed but instead focused on excellence. The original movie is a huge success and for the sequel to live up to it, patience should be exercised. This could mean that the movie would be available to be released three years down the road.
