It was only last year Vice President of the Philippine Republic Jejomar Binay confirmed his plans of running as a candidate for 2016 Presidential Elections. He announced it during the ‘Bantayan Leadership Forum' in Washington D.C. wherein he said that it is his dream to become the leader of the Philippines.

"You know that is not a rumor because the day after the election, because of the intimidations coming from the media. Because they were asking are you going to run by 2016 and I said yes. I don't want to be a hypocrite. I had that dream of becoming President," Vice President Binay said.

Also, he recently stated the next Chief Executive should be a lawyer and has a leadership experience. "I see a great country that is prosperous, peaceful and orderly, efficiently governed, where people are cared for and provided with all opportunities to become productive citizens. The starting point in efforts to translate vision into reality is government," VP Binay said, who is also a lawyer before he entered politics.

Although Binay is the only candidate to announce the presidential candidacy, there's no doubt he can to the survey. On the latest Pulse Asia survey dated March, he on top of the list. He was followed by a novice senator, Grace Poe and top 3 on the survey were former President Joseph Estrada and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. Actually, there's no confirmation on the part of the three individuals who tailed Binay on the survey.

Meanwhile, VP Binay joined the yearly practice of devotees to the ‘Kamay ni Jesus' (Hands of Jesus) church in Quezon City, Maundy Thursday. According to Father Joey Faller, the Vice President spent some time in the parish and talked to some believer. "Vice President Binay was so at home with the devotees. He gladly joined the pilgrims in their ‘wefies' (group photo shoot)," Faller revealed.
