Game developer BioWare officially announced in their blog that they will be having a closed Dragon Age Inquisition beta testing phase for the upcoming update release. Dubbed as the "Patch 5 Beta Program", the program will only have a few selected players from its signup list. They will perform a play test on the upcoming patch and relay any potential issues that might crop up during the game to the development team, allowing them to identify and fix the bug as soon as possible.

According to Bioware’s blog, "This not only allows us to more quickly identify and respond to future issues, but gives our developers a great, new way to work directly with our players."

Players participating in the closed Dragon Age Inquisition beta testing phase can access the Black Emporium, which the website described as a hidden underground shop owned by an immortal being. Here, inquisitors can look for powerful artifacts and utilities that can help them in their missions. They can also purchase epic weapons, new crafting materials, magical accessories, as well as schematics. Players could also use the Mirror of Transformation that allows them to change their voice and their facial appearance.

Players could also expect for the new storage system that can be found within Skyhold's Undercroft area. This allows DAI players to save their items in an expanded compartment when their character inventory space reached its limit. Patch 5 may also have an "auto-attack key" for single player mode. This allows players to destroy targets with fewer clicks only.

Aside from the new features to come out in Patch 5, BioWare will also throw in several changes and enhancements to better the gaming experience. BioWare will still release an official statement of  the changes and improvements via its beta community. This would give players an overview of what to expect on the upcoming patch. In the meantime, Dragon Age Inquisition beta testing phase is currently open to selected PC users only. More details will become out as to the game patch’s availability on different gaming platforms.
