On Wednesday, XAPPmedia has taken $3 million investment from private investors, reported Venture Beat. The startup headquartered in Washington DC said that the new funding would be used to support its ad platform, XAPP Ads.

XAPP Ads works to find ads that users find appealing. Ads on mobile phones are created through a cloud-based interface in a matter of minutes. These ads can be located after a user makes use of his voice to interact which in return gets those advertisements that he finds appealing. The app does not require programming to get it going.

XAPPmedia was launched earlier this year, reported Venture Beat. The startup’s first paying client was the National Public Radio.

XAPPmedia CEO Pat Higbie said, “We’re about giving consumers a voice and connecting them with advertisers and publishers. We’re calling it an “ultra mobile device.” You can use it when you’re walking, driving, or the phone is in your pocket or on your dashboard.”
