Vertical Designs Ltd has quietly acquired a 10% interest in Canadian marijuana firm Affinor Resources via open market, according to CNW.

The financial terms of the deal was not disclosed in the said report. The purchase was made to take advantage of the booming medical marijuana industry, the report added.

Affinor, a publicly traded firm on the Canadian Securities Exchange, caters to the said industry in North America. As of now, the company is on its way to be a top producer of Canadian Medical Marijuana and Industrial Hemp. In addition, it is set to trade in the OTC and Marijuana Exchange in the near future, the report detailed.

Vertical Designs is a company that mass produces food products using vertical farming technology. In this method, light, temperature, nutrients, and water are controlled to the exact amount to create an optimum growing condition that will help yield high quality crops with superior shelf-life. Mechanically pollinated strawberries are among the products of the British Columbia-based firm, CNW reported.
