IDG Ventures has invested an undisclosed sum in India-based software maker FieldEZ Technologies. IvyCap Ventures, a new investor, also contributed to the company's first funding round, according to The Economic Times.

The Bangalore-based startup has developed software that helps field workers provide real-time mobile sales, marketing, and customer service. The said software is available in smartphones and even low-end mobile units, the report explained.

FieldEZ provides this service to around 15,000 professional clients in the information technology, financial services, consumer goods, and banking sectors. The company will use the new capital to drive its sales in the US and in other countries in Southeast Asia, the report detailed.

Chief executive Balasubramanyam Mohan said: "We aim to be a world-class product company out of India doing a 'million dollar per employee revenue.'"

The mobile sales software solution provides details to the management such as number of visits or daily orders. In addition, software enables the management to provide instant feedback to their field workers, The Economic Times reported.
