Former President Donald Trump is asking his followers to support his social media platform, Truth Social, as the stock price of its parent company, Trump Media & Technology Group, continues to fall further.
In a Truth Social post, Donald Trump said the social media app "represents" the political "movement" of his "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan. He added that "it shows the Spirit and Love of our Country."
"If people who believe in putting America First and want to Make America Great Again, support TRUTH, we will be your Voice like never before, and a Real Voice is what our Country needs, because we are in decline, and must bring America to Greatness," the former president wrote.
However, CNBC reported that the exact intent behind Trump's message was unclear since it was confusing if he was urging his followers to use the app or buy shares in Trump Media, which recently started publicly trading on the Nasdaq.

Trump Media's stock, trading under the ticker DJT, rose over 50% on its debut on March 26. However, the surge was short-lived, as its subsequent trading days witnessed a steady decline in its stock price.
Its price soared as high as $79.38 on March 26 but quickly dropped to $66.22 the next day. Since its peak in late March, Trump Media's shares have already lost more than half of their value.
On Friday morning, Trump Media's stock price plunged below $30, marking a decline of over $40 from its roaring start. The trading day reportedly ended with its share price up at only 0.6%.
