Nicola Horlick launched a campaign to bring together GBP 150,000 (USD 229,960) in seed capital for Glentham Capital, her new venture. One of Britain's most successful fund managers, Horlick kicked off her launch on Seedrs, the equity crowdfunding site. In exchange for their investment, Horlick is giving investors 10% equity on Glentham. The startup firm intends to raise USD 100 million from investors in the US and UK in 2013's final quarter. The funding will then be used to finance Hollywood films.

Horlick currently serves as the Chairman of Glentham Capital, with Pandora Edmiston sitting as the CEO. Edmiston was in the film industry prior to working with Citibank for several years. Funding raised through Seedrs will cover the salary of its CEO, the fund's set-up costs, and some travel expenses. All adult residents in the UK are eligible to own a stake in the new company for as low as GBP 10 after passing a quiz that proves they comprehend the inherent risks of investing in startups.
