Huma Abedin may not have wanted to be in the spotlight. However, thanks to a sexting controversy, now, she was facing reporters along with her husband.

Abedin appeared together with Anthony Weiner, a.k.a. Carlos Danger, at a press conference Tuesday. Despite embarrassed and being "a little nervous", she managed to defend her husband, saying, "Anthony's made some horrible mistakes, both before he resigned from Congress and after, but I do truly believe that that is between us and our marriage," Abedin said. "I love him, I have forgiven him, I believe him, and as we have said from the beginning, we are moving forward."

She referred to the sexting controversy that happened at a time when Weiner was still with the US Congress. The controversy made him decide to resign in 2011.

Afterwards, the couple faced another controversy after the two moved to a US$3.3 million Manhattan apartment. The sprawling apartment sent critics abuzz, with one saying, "It's a ridiculously expensive place". The donor of the US$12,000 to US$14,000 apartment was Jack Rosen, a "high-ranking Obama bundler, having given more than $500,000 to Obama's reelection campaign and has donated thousands of dollars to Weiner's own political career."
