The CW has finally confirmed the highly anticipated premiere of "The 100" Season 3 to be on January 21 following the series premiere of "Legends of Tomorrow". The show's writer/producer Aaron Ginsburg and series creator Jason Rothenberg both recently dropped spoilers on what fans can expect in the coming season.

Ginsburg revealed that a major character will die in the coming episodes. "Don't know what's worse: how much blood is all over set right now or that the blood belongs to a character you guys like," he tweeted.

Melty reports that fans pleaded with Ginsburg to spare their favorites Clarke, Lexa, Bellamy and Octavia since it was reported that the character that will be among the dead is a fan favorite. When asked how many will die in "The 100" Season 3, Ginsburg posted, "It's not a low number". Fans speculate that there will be another epic battle similar to the Season 2 finale.

Last month, Rothenberg tweeted that a ghost story that will take place in a Brazil space station in an episode which he said will be very scary.

Meanwhile, Ginsburg explained to fans that they might have to wait some more before Bellarke will actually happen. He said that many hours are spent in discussing what happens in one episode and their decisions are mostly based on what they think would best move the story forward.

Ginsburg further said that while they love the show's fans, they cannot base their decisions only on what they want to see. He however assured them that they would not be disappointed if they continue watching the show.

The complete Season 2 has been recently made available in Netflix. Some fans of the series are reportedly binge watching while waiting for the "The 100" Season 3 premiere.
