Minvest Partners taps overlooked advanced exploration niche market
Toronto-based merchant bank Minerx Group was out to prove that there is a plethora of opportunities in the the advanced exploration market with its new private equity arm called Minvest Partners, according to a Mining Markets article.
UBS offers buyback of some Puerto Rico bond fund shares
Swiss lender UBS said it will be offering to repurchase some of the shares of its Puerto Rico bond funds. The buyback program came as the commonwealth's debt lost 16% this year.
Two buyout firms compete for LTS Lohmann takeover
French investment firm Wendel and Nordic Capital are the remaining bidders for Germany's medical patch maker LTS Lohmann. The acquisition deal could bring in EUR1.2 billion to the company owned by Novartis, BWK and German tycoon Dietmar Hopp.
