Apple is rumored to have selected Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company as its sole manufacturer of the processor chip for iPhone 7. This puts Samsung, its other chip maker, out of the equation. TSMC is now all set to roll production for the superior A10 chips in June.

Integrated with IFTTT, BMW becomes first car to upgrade its autopilot services
BMW becomes the first car to integrate a unique free feature into its vehicles, the IFTTT (If This Then That) services. This feature provides its customers with a host of personalized services through a newly built platform called BMW Labs. The customers are now able to automatically open garage doors while pulling into the driveway. They can send auto-alerts to spouse upon picking up kids from school, and even get the exact location of the parking spot in a Google Maps link.
Foxconn woos Sharp with a more-than $5 billion offer; Innovation Network Corp no more the only potential buyer in the running
Foxconn has put forth a highly tempting offer of over $5 billion in front of the almost-bankrupt Sharp Corp, which well exceeds its current valuation at $1.8 billion. The other potential buyer, Innovation Network Corp. of Japan, who was already very confident, is not so sure of a win right now. Foxconn's bid amount not only surpasses Innovation's $2.5 billion, the Taiwanese firm has also offered to absorb all of Sharp's debts and not make any top management replacements. While the board does not want their Japanese seller to fall under any kind of foreign control, the decision needs to be based purely on deal economics and not political considerations.
