There's a brewing conflict between Mitchell and Jay in the upcoming episode of "Modern Family" season 7 because of the former's new job. Meanwhile, fans of Haley and Andy still have to wait for a while before the two become an official couple because of Haley's on-off beau, Dylan.

In the new episode of the ABC series titled, "The Closet Case," Jay's rival company taps Mitchell, who is in dire need of a job, to be their consultant, The Futon Critic wrote. Obviously, Ed O'Neill's character will not approve of this, sparking another conflict with his son. Since Mitch has been looking for ways to support his own family financially, the two Pritchetts may not easily iron this one out.

Meanwhile, inside the Dunphys household, Haley seeks Phil's help to convince Claire to allow Dylan to move in temporarily with them. Being the cool dad that he is, Phil seems to be okay with the idea until he realizes what it entails for her daughter and her complicated relationship with Dylan.

According to Christian Today, fans might react to the decision of Sarah Hyland's character especially since her special relationship with Adam Devine's Andy has already been established in the show.

However, as co-creator Christopher Lloyd previously stated in his interview, Andy and Haley will be making progress in the new season. Lloyd said that the two still have apprehensions to make grand gesture to finally become a couple so they will be taking "small steps" instead.

Also in the new episode, Sophia Vergara's Gloria and Eric Stonestreet's Cameron will not see eye to eye on teaching Manny in handling his girl problems.

"The Closet Case" follows last week's episode titled, "The Day Alex Left For College," which saw a believable send-off for Ariel Winter's genius Alex Dunphy. According to A.V. Club, the episode was able to use the college storyline effectively given that it was already used for Haley before.

Fans of the ABC sitcom should not miss its new episode which will focus on Jay and Mitchell's relationship once more while Phil makes up his mind whether permit Dylan to move in their house.
