Ryan Reynolds just made fans of the Deadpool movie all the more excited. The actor announced to his fans on Instagram that filming for the much-anticipated movie has wrapped.

The 'Green Lantern' actor posted a picture of a carving from a shoot location on his Twitter. The actor was able to immortalize Deadpool's presence in stone. Ryan Reynolds also thanked his fans in another Instagram post saying that it was a bumpy road to make the Deadpool movie a reality. He also thanked the cast and crew who made the six year project an "amazing one".

"This photo taken nearly 6 years ago to the day. Rhett, Paul, Tim and I started putting Deadpool together. And today, we reached the end of the shoot -- but the beginning of something amazing. We got it to the launch pad... but the fans put us into orbit. They let us make this film because you made them. You wrote unspeakable things on the Internet. You yelled at all the right people. And suddenly... the light turned green. Thank you. #wrapped" the actor posted on his Instragram.

Wolverine might be making an appearance in the upcoming Deadpool movie. While Hugh Jackman has already made an announcement that he will be retiring from playing Wolverine, he just might be making that cameo appearance in the upcoming Deadpool movie.

"God I hope so, that would be really nice. I dunno, we'll see. It seems like he's open to it, but it's gonna be more of a scheduling issue than anything else." said Reynolds on Jackman's possible cameo.

The upcoming movie will be given an R rating. Deadpool will be kicking off the Year of the Superhero Movie. While many fans were initially hesitant about accepting Reynolds as the foul-mouthed, katana-wielding mercenery, they have quickly changed their minds.

The upcoming film also stars Ed Skrein as Ajax, Morena Baccarin as Copycat, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and T.J Miller as Weasel.

Deadpool will hit theaters everywhere on February 12, 2016.
