Retail giant Costco has introduced a new in vitro fertilization (IVF) program aimed at helping members access fertility treatments at significantly lower costs.
The company announced a partnership with Sesame and IVI RMA North America to provide discounted fertility medications and coordinated care services across the United States.
The program is designed to make fertility treatment more affordable for people who want to start or grow their families.
According to the company, members could receive savings of up to 80% on some fertility medications, which often cost thousands of dollars per treatment cycle, NY Post reported.
"Our partnership with Sesame and IVI RMA reflects our commitment to transparent and affordable solutions that reduce barriers, are more accessible, and more affordable for our members," said Richard Stephens, senior vice president of pharmacy at Costco.
"By combining transparent pricing with coordinated care, we're removing the barriers that have historically kept quality fertility treatment out of reach for too many families."
Through the program, Costco members can enroll in a monthly agreement that connects them to fertility services offered through Sesame.
These services include telehealth consultations with doctors, fertility care coordination, and diagnostic testing.
Patients who need more specialized treatment may be referred to IVI RMA North America, a fertility clinic network that has negotiated additional discounts specifically for Costco members.

Costco Offers Discounted IVF Drugs
Costco will also handle the fulfillment of fertility prescriptions through its pharmacy program.
According to People, one example mentioned by the company is Follistim, a prescription drug commonly used to help stimulate egg production during IVF treatment.
With the program's pricing structure, patients may save thousands of dollars on medication costs for each treatment cycle.
Fertility care can be expensive, and medication is often one of the biggest out-of-pocket costs for patients.
By lowering those prices, the retailer hopes to make treatment more reachable for people who might otherwise delay or avoid IVF due to financial concerns.
Leaders from IVI RMA North America say the partnership also aligns with recent national discussions about expanding access to fertility care.
Lynn Mason noted that a 2025 executive order from Donald Trump encouraged broader access to IVF and called for reducing the financial burden on families seeking treatment.
The World Health Organization estimates that about one in six people globally experience infertility.
Meanwhile, data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that the US fertility rate dropped to a record low in 2024, with fewer than 1.6 children per woman.
