The Blacklist season 2 returns on TV with an all new episode this Thursday, two weeks after audiences were left wondering who shot Red. It is really worth the wait?

NBC released a trailer for the upcoming return of Blacklist recalling the scenes from the last episode that caused the show's fans much distress.

The video teaser also leaves a question as to newbie Liz Keen's capability as an FBI agent.

"I wonder if she is being completely manipulated by Reddington?"

Ex-government agent-turned-criminal fugitive-turned FBI source Raymond "Red" Reddington  is helping the United States government take down criminals in a Blacklist he has compiled throughout his years as fugitive, requiring that he only works with Keen, an FBI profiler fresh out of Quantico.

Fan reactions to the trailer ranged from eager anticipation to speculations on who shot Red, and his real connections with agent Liz. A few had something to say against the show taking breaks.

In the upcoming episode titled "Leonard Caul," Red fights for his life while the task force races to track down a mysterious figure from Red's past.

A teaser by TV.com lists 5 possible answers to the "Who shot Red?" question naming first, The Alliance that just voted to kill Red, Tom who has many possible reasons for gunning down the ex-con including keeping his relationship with agent Liz, a mysterious man on the phone, a Johannesburg man who put a $40M bountry on Red's head, and even, Red himself.

The plot twists of the tightly written NBC show promises to tighten as the season winds down with its last four episodes.

Jason Spader plays the role of Reddington, Megan Boone as Liz Keen, Ryan Eggold as Tom Keen, Diego Klattenhoff as FBI Special Agent Donald Ressler, and Harry Lennix asFBI Assistant Director Harold Cooper.
