After launching the iPhone trade-in program in the US last August, Apple has not brought the program to Germany. Now, iOS users in the said country will be able to purchase a new mobile phone at a discounted price once they trade in their old iPhone, according to App Advice.

Under the trade-in program, iPhone users can buy a new iPhone with as much as €230 ($315) off the original price. This will depend upon the kind of device traded in, the report explained.

Apple has already expanded the program to other countries aside from Germany. Customers across the UK, India, Canada, and France are already enjoying discounted purchases by trading in their old iPhones, VentureBeat detailed.

The monetary incentive of the program is a good catch for iPhone users. However, another benefit of the trade-in is getting the opportunity to have a mobile device recycled properly. Apple has struck a partnership with Brightstar, a recycling firm, to handle old devices obtained through the program, the report stated.
