2015 Apple iMac family targets professionals with revamped 4K, 5K displays; Improved iMac accessories bundled with Apple’s all-in-one desktop

The 2015 Apple iMac lineup features a 21.5" iMac with 4K display and new 27" iMacs with 5K display targeting professional users. The new 2015 Apple iMacs come bundled with improved iMac accessories which include a keyboard, mouse, and trackpad.

Apple's new family of iMacs was recently released and get boosted displays. CNET reported that the 2015 iMac comes in two variants: a 21.5" iMac with 4K retina display and a 27" iMac with 5K display support.

According to the report, the 5K 27" iMac supports the P3 color gamut which embraces a wider range of colors than the common sRGB (standard Red/Green/Blue) gamut. The 27" iMac's display should present 24 percent more colors in the green and red spectrum.

The 2015 Apple iMac family seems to target professionals such as video and photo editors. P3 is said to be the standard gamut in digital movie theater showings. The upgraded displays of the 2015 Apple iMacs show sharper and clearer images.

Venture Capital Post stated in an earlier report that the 2015 Apple iMac will come with revamped accessories. The Apple wireless keyboard, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse get boosted for the first time. Customers can also order the Magic Trackpad 2 during checkout.

In a report by Macworld, the 2015 Apple iMac line also get upgraded processors and graphics. The 21.5" Apple iMac has fifth-generation Broadwell chips while the 27" iMac is powered by Intel's sixth-generation Skylake Core processor.

The 2015 Apple iMac is considered to be an all-in-one powerful desktop version of the Macbook Air. Apple's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Philip Schiller said in a press release that the 2015 iMacs are the "most stunning iMacs [Apple has] ever made." Schiller claimed, "With our gorgeous new displays, more powerful processors and graphics and all-new Magic accessories, the new iMac continues to redefine the ultimate desktop experience."

The 2015 Apple iMac with 21.5" 4K resolution display will have a starting price of £899. On the other hand, the 27" Apple iMac with 5K resolution has a starting retail price of £1,449.
