Although ABC has not confirmed the possibility of more seasons, actor Nathan Fillion may have confirmed during recent interviews that 'Castle' season 8 could be the last of the series. In fact, he will probably be seen in superhero costume once the ABC TV series calls it closed after season 8.

There are lots of exciting episodes expected in 'Castle' season 8 as it premieres soon. There will be a few "shake-ups" in Beckett and Castle's relationship next season, as the former has been promoted to Captain, according to Youth Health Mag.

"That said, promoting Beckett to captain could mean dialing down her time spent working cases firsthand, alongside Rick on the streets of New York City," new co-showrunner Alexi Hawley told TVLine. "And that could threaten to 'shake things up' for a couple whose bond was born of the writer/muse relationship."

Meanwhile, actor Nathan Fillion (Rick Castle) has answered one burning question during the Chicago Wizard World Comic Con. ComicBook has revealed that Fillion wants to play one of the DC Comics superheroes if he is given a chance. He said, "I think I could take a pretty good crack at Booster Gold. That's kind of my niche: show-offy, vain... I think I could handle that. Not too bright. I think Ambush Bug - you like that? A little bit off his rocker, you'd never see my face. But I think Greatest American Hero is due for a reboot."

However, there are no discussions at the DC to bring Booster Gold to the big screen anytime soon. But it is speculated by Movie Web that if Castle season 9 won't happen, it is possible that will probably appear in superhero costume. Fillion's desire to play a superhero may have confirmed that 'Castle' season 8 could be the last of the series.
