'Castle' Season 8 renewal is still quite uncertain. ABC network has not released any statement regarding the show's fate.  Actors Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, who played major roles, have yet to sign new contracts to repeat their parts as Richard Castle and Kate Beckett, individually.

In his most recent interview with TVLine, actor Seamus Dever, who portrays the part of Detective Kevin Ryan, has revealed some information about season 8.

"It's been weird. The last five months have been limbo," says cast member Dever, whose contract is also up. "I don't know [what's] going to happen, and, to be honest, no one has talked to me ... about next season. I'd like to have some answers because my family wants to know if I'm going to be employed. But right now it's really up in the air."

"Nobody's talked to me about [re-signing for] Season 8, so that's where I'm standing. And I'd like some answers, because my mother-in-law is very concerned that I'm going to have to get a teaching job. [Laughs] It'd be nice to get some answers soon," he added.

Dever is hopeful that the 'Castle' Season 8 renewal could happen. "From what I'm hearing, [the delayed renewal] is not from lack of want at the network level. They're very happy with the success of our show; it's just about getting everybody back to the table."

Meanwhile, many fans still wanted to see the show exploring into unique cases. In the recent poll made by TV.com, many are eager to see the season 8. As of today, 386 votes favored to continuation, while 176 votes favored to end the show in season 7 as long as it won't leave a cliffhanger, and 34 votes strongly agreed to end the show.

On the other hand, Zap2it, a site who gives prediction for many shows' cancellation or renewal fate, has recently indicated that Castle is certain to be renewed. Could they be right?
