Android 6.0 Marshmallow is finally showing up after months of speculation when it was first introduced last May. Big thanks to developer previews of Google that Android phone users get to see what's coming up for the much-anticipated Marshmallow.

Android Pay used to be just a speculation and a fingerprint scanner was just a dream but things are turning into reality for owners of Android devices because Google was indeed working out these killer features. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is a big leap in Android updates from its first-ever operating system Cup Cake.

As development progresses for the Android OS, Android 6.0 or what was introduced as Android M in its promotion stage is deemed the most advanced and biggest surprise since Cup Cake, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat and Lollipop.

Android fanatics are now scrambling from their seats to get the 6.0 update since it will be released by the final week of September.

Here's a quick rundown of what the Android 6.0 Marshmallow will give fans:

Android Pay

With well-known mobile payment services in the tech department like Apple Pay and Samsung, Android Pay operates in the same mechanism, only with a few edges. Android Pay uses near-field communication (NFC) and host card emulation method for tap-to-pay services. This operates by unlocking phones near an NFC terminal without launching any payment app.

According to Google, an online card number will be activated when adding card details. Android Pay is pre-installed on devices supported by AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.

Fingerprint Support

To realize the Android Pay transactions, fingerprint sensor support is added. This feature is applicable to a good number of phones through a standard API coming with the sensor.

Type-C USB

The flexible USB port pioneered by Apple is now coming to Android phones as well. If the device is supported by Type-C USB, users can enjoy the all-in-on port for projecting display, charging and other usages.

App Linking

Called Intents, users are now capable of directing to other software or sites using a link from a certain location. By clicking the link, the device will show a notification whether he wants to go on with the redirecting process.

App Permissions

App permissions got a significant redress from Google allowing users to allow or revoke permissions. With Marshmallow, app permissions will send notifications to users whether they would want to proceed to a certain action. App permissions has eight inclusions like contacts, camera, and location, among others.

Custom Chrome Tabs

Google is also improving Chrome experience by adding web views of an app, plus customizations in color themes, font, sign-in process, and more.

Battery Management

While power management always is present in updates, Marshmallow features Doze. Doze automatically manages background running process. It can be activated via an alarm and priority notifications.

These are just but a few features users should watch out for in Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

More are coming up so stay tuned.
