The blue tang fish who seem to be impossible not to love is soon to plunge into the big screen once again in Finding Dory. A new journey is waiting for Dory as she goes on a mission to find her parents and come back to the place she was born.

Based on Gabriela Cowperthwaite's "Blackfish" documentary, the movie will be set 6 months after the events in Finding Nemo. Dory will come back to the place she was born in Marine Biology Institute of California, to find more about herself and her parents.

Along the way she is said to come across falling shipping containers and a kelp forest. Aside from that, she will also meet new characters such as a whale shark, beluga whale and a giant squid. Marlin is said to be back in the  movie although Nemo's involvement continue to be unknown.

Meanwhile, the wait continues for the fans who are eagerly anticipating the film's trailer. Reports suggest that the first look at the film's trailer might be made available in Disney's upcoming D23 Expo to be held in Anaheim, California on August 14 to 16.

The convention is said to be hosted by Pixar's CCO, John Lasseter, and will provide fans the first look at the films Finding Dory,The Good Dinosaur, and Zootopia and Moana. Filmmakers will unveil never-before-seen footage from Pixar's upcoming The Good Dinosaur and Finding Dory and Disney Animation's Zootopia and Moana. The event will include surprise announcements, musical performances, and appearances by the films' star voice talent,"  Disney reportedly stated.

Comedienne Ellen DeGeneres who gives voice to the role of Dory previously assured fans that the wait of more than a decade for Finding Nemo's sequel is worth it, and even said that the script has impressed her. "I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time.I'm not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating 'Toy Story 16.' But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is-it's got a lot more Dory." she previously said in one of the episodes of her show.

Aside from DeGeneres, Finding Dory cast also includes Albert Brooks as Marlin, and Diane Keaton, and Eugene Levy as Dory's parents, Jenny and Charlie. It is directed by  Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane. It is set to hit theaters in June 17, 2016.
