"Outlander" season 1 finale will air next week following its quite controversial and shocking episode, which aired on Sunday, May 17. The cast and crew of the Starz time travel series have already begun filming for season 2, with scenes taking place in Scotland and Paris. While fans of Diana Gabaldon's book series were initially expecting that the cast would soon be filming scenes in Paris, showrunner Ron Moore revealed that most of the scenes will be shot in Scotland.

"We'll be building interiors in Scotland. We're going to scout in the south of England, we're going to scout in Eastern Europe; we're looking for places that can be the streets of Paris," Moore revealed to Zap2It.

Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser in "Outlander," also expressed his excitement for season two and teased that there will be a time jump next season. Heughan's co-star, Caitriona Balfe, on the other hand, expressed her thoughts on doing the time jump and how she prepared for the role.

"I think it'll be fun. I think it's great to be able to play someone's life," Balfe said. Balfe, who plays Claire Randall, described that her character will play a "woman who has a child who's in her late teens who's gone through this whole life of experience" during the time jump.

"Outlander" season 2 will follow the story of Diana Gabaldon's second book from her book series titled, "Dragonfly in Amber." The upcoming season will also introduce new characters and fans previously wondered if the cast members will be revealed during the San Diego Comic Con on July 9-12, 2015.
