"Outlander" star Sam Heughan still cannot wrap his head up over the success, fame and support that the Starz series has received from fans. Now that the series is nearing its season one finale with season two already in the works, Heughan hinted that the first season of the series will end in an "interesting place and a grey area."

Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser in the Starz series, "Outlander," recently expressed his thoughts on his role, his life, and the fame that came along with the success of the series.

"I'm excited to be getting back into it. Where season one ends is an interesting place and a grey area," Heughan told Evening Times.

The Scottish actor also hinted that season one would lead to the build-up to Culloden and would take on the "demise of the Highland culture and the clan way of life." With "Outlander" already starting filming for season two, Heughan admitted that he still cannot wrap his head over the success and fame that his character has received.

"It is always odd when people recognize you in America or at airports and come up to you. It is very nice but quite strange," he said.

Meanwhile, the latest episode of "Outlander" recently aired a scene wherein Jenny expressed her breast milk on TV. According to Hypable, this is a first on the history of television, given that there is still the notion that mothers who breastfeed in public receive criticisms for doing so. The outlet noted that the series successfully took on some serious issues like sex, breastfeeding, and realistic birth without making the show revolve around women's issues alone.

Caitriona Balfe's character, Claire also exudes a strong female character on screen and Heughan recognizes this. Heughan muses that Claire and Jamie are clashing in such a way that Claire was raised in the modern world with an entirely different moral code.

"They are in dangerous times and Claire needs to learn that, but equally Jamie needs to learn to treat her as an equal," Heughan said.

"Outlander" airs every Saturday on Starz.
