Speculations suggest that a new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer and gameplay or demo will be released at the D23 Expo in Anaheim this coming August and that more details would come at the E3 conference this year.

Sony also recently announced that the game would most likely be released in February 2016. Aside from Kingdom Hearts 3, Square Enix is also working on a couple of other projects and even teased an upcoming game in their website.

The release date of Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts 3 has been much speculated but never confirmed. Although rumours say that the release date of the game may come later this year, more reliable sources argue that the game won't be launched until early next year. 

Kingdom Hearts 3 ranks 7^th place among video games in a poll held by Famitsu last February 19-25. Despite the popularity of the game, Kingdom Hearts 3 probably did not rank that high due to the long wait period for the game resulting to players' loss of interest. Kingdom Hearts 3 was officially announced at E3 2013 and details for the game were revealed via Twitter last January by the game developers, Square Enix, but the release date was never declared.

Since its announcement, Square Enix had to face a couple of obstacles for the making of Kingdom Hearts 3 leading to the prolonged delay of the game's release. For instance, the game had switched to using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 4, as revealed by game director Tetsuya Nomura in October 2014, causing a delay in the game's production.

Two of the voice actors for the game also passed away early in 2015. It is unclear whether the voice actors finished recording but replacing the actors would cause even more delay. Moreover, it is believed that Square Enix focused more on the development of Final Fantasy XV as it is set to launch first. Lastly, an online multiplayer feature may have also caused the delay.

Aside from their major title releases, Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 15, Square Enix is apparently working on something more. A new page in their Japanese website teased an upcoming game announcement as a new page entitled "SQUARE ENIX NEW PROJECT" was added to their site. The page is assumed to reveal a new game but fans are advised to hold off any expectations until further announcements.
