According to the International Business Times, this truly is the generation of young adult novel movie adaptations. With film series such as 'Twilight' and 'Hunger Games' currently drawing in billions of dollars in the box office, it is no surprise that more books of this genre are getting adapted to the big screen. It looks like Hollywood will not stop this trend as long as people never get tired of seeing our teenage heroes overcome obstacles and save the day.

One of the latest films in the young adult novel genre is 'Mazerunner,' and frankly, this movie has done a good job of introducing us to a "potentially interesting film world," as described by Simon Brew of Den of Geek. The good news is, the success that the first film attained enabled a sequel to be in the works. "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" is scheduled for release in theaters in September of this year.

There are still five months more before the film's release, but it looks like a trailer would be coming out soon as the first batch of pictures have been released recently through Entertainment Weekly. The images feature titular hero Thomas (played by Dylan O'Brien) finding himself in another set of troublesome situations.

In an interview made with producer Wyck Godfrey by Entertainment Weekly, he described how the 'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials' differs from the first movie. He said, "The first movie was the mystery of 'Where are we, and what is this place? And can we get out?' But the second movie is about the repercussions of getting out and the discovery of what the world is actually like."

'The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials' hits U.S. theaters on September 18, 2015.
