Natural Sins makes baked snacks using real fruit and vegetables to help snack lovers fight obesity. The startup is getting ready to start raising capital for its expansion, according to Miami Herald.

Co-founder Andres Dominguez Dillon said: "We have the mission of changing how people think about snacking and fighting obesity."

So far, the Costa Rica-based startup has raised $250,000 in funding, 40% of which came from the pockets of its founders. Family and friends contributed 30%, and the remaining 30% was obtained through a bank loan, the report detailed.

Founded by preschool best friends Dominguez and Ivan Sosa Lazarenko, the startup markets its healthy snacks in the US, Canada, Guatelama, and other countries in North America, and in Japan. The products can also be bought from its website and on Amazon. The nine-person team of Natural Sins wants to raise capital to beef up its marketing campaign in the US and expand its workforce, Miami Herald reported.
