South Park, after more than a decade of waiting, releases a video game South Park: The Stick of Truth.

The animated series South Park was first launched in 1997. Since then, fans were eager to play a video game of the series. Nevertheless, the attempts to launch a game through obtaining a license from the show's creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker failed. However, a breakthrough for South Park to have a video game would be possible at this time, reported NYTimes.

South Park creators Parker and Stone met with Obsidian Entertainment and Ubisoft last Tuesday. This was after the parties announced of releasing South Park: The Stick of Truth video game. The said game would be available for Windows PC, Play Station 3 and the Xbox 360. This would make players feel as if they were indeed part of the show's episode.

Park and Stone's concept of the video game was to make a role play. This has been a genre that both of them enjoyed when they were still kids. Both of them also wanted the player of the video game to play the new kid in town role.

It is up for sale at GameStop
