Parrot launched a Bluetooth-capable device called Flower Power that helps make gardening easier. The small sensor links to a mobile app that tells users a plant's status and needs, according to TechCrunch.

Flower Power measures the sunlight, temperature, fertilizer, and moisture of the environment around a given plant. It takes only a few minutes to set up the app. Users only need to stick the weatherproof device in the soil near the plant and wait for it to connect to the app. Once connected, the device will start transmitting live data about the plant. The user also needs to choose from 6,000 plants contained in the app's database, the report detailed.

The wireless plant monitor helps make gardening easier by providing data that less-skilled gardeners have a hard time determining, the report stated.

Each Flower Power device is priced at $59.99 and can monitor only one kind of plant at a time. Although equipping a whole garden can be quite costly, Parrot says it helps the ordinary home consumer perform professional plant monitoring, TechCrunch reported.
