Event planning mobile app WePopp has extended its monetization ploy today by striking a partnership with restaurant booking app OpenTable. This adds an in-app restaurant booking feature to the French planning tool. The firm then takes a commission for every successful booking, according to TechCrunch.

WePopp allows users to plan any event with friends in just a few steps. It enables them to conduct a poll about the best date, time, and place for their get-together, the report stated.

With OpenTable coming into the picture, a restaurant booking feature has been added to a dine-out event. WePopp will start suggesting 3 dining places from OpenTable. Users, however, can still input their choice. Once confirmed, the "popp" is converted into a restaurant booking, the report explained.

WePopp also has an existing tie-up with lafourchette, the French counterpart of OpenTable, which also provides booking services in France and Spain. OpenTable is available in the US, the UK (TopTable), Japan, and Germany, TechCrunch reported.
