Based on early data from mobile app analytics firms by Fiksu, adoption of the iPad Air surpassed iPad 4 by five times in its first week. The app marketing technology provider also said that iPad Air's adoption also surpassed adoption of the iPad Mini by four times.

Under three days, percentage of the millions of owners who had used the apps of Fiksu's clients was at 0.88%. This was significantly higher than the 0.15% rate iPad 4 recorded or 0.22% iPad Mini posted on the first three days of its launch.

Analytics company Mixpanel supported Fiksu's claim with its own numbers. Mixpanel reported that 1.54% of all iPad traffic to the applications of its clients just this Monday came from iPad Air.

Apple has yet to reveal the early sales figures of the iPad Air. However, tech website Techcrunch noted that last year, Apple sold 3 million new iPad 4 and iPad Mini tablets.
