A Chinese technology news website called DoNews posted intriguing photos that showed an iPad Mini 2 in a champagne-colored finish. The photos also showed that the iPad was equipped with Apple Inc's latest fingerprint technology TouchID.

Sonny Dickson, who is known for leaking Apple products and other related news, posted a tweet about the launching of a new iPad Mini. Dickson also posted a photo that shows unassembled parts of a reported iPad Mini in "space grey." Dickson also posted another tweet with information that the iPad Mini would also be released in silver. There has been no information on whether the new iPad Mini would have a high-resolution retina display.

Dickson, who has a solid track record with his reports, would seem to corroborate Apple's evolution with its products. When Apple launched its iPhone 5 with an anodized aluminum black "slate", the company also released the iPad Mini bearing the same features.

Apple's prediction back in July of having a "busy fall" came true. It sold 9 million of its new iPhone 5S and 5C in just three days. The company predicted its revenue would in the range of USD34 billion to USD37 billion for its fourth fiscal quarter.
