On Tuesday, Apple Inc released its latest line of the all-in-one iMac desktop. The tech giant said that the new iMac would have fourth-generation quad-core Haswell processors by Intel, faster PCIe flash storage options and 802.11ac Wi-Fi capabilities.

The new batch of iMacs would reportedly have consumers appreciating Apple more as the company focused on speed. iMac's 802.11ac Wi-Fi capabilities would have wireless connection perform three times faster than its previous desktop line, Apple said.

The new batch of iMacs run on standard 8 gigabytes or GB of memory and a 1 terabyte or TB hard drive, and could be expanded up to 32GB of memory and 3TB hard drive. Apple also added that all-flash storage options would have available configurations of up to 1TB. The desktop line would have units available in a 21.5 inch and 27-inch monitor. Pricing would start at USD1,299 retail.

Apple had earlier projected a 30% increase in iMac sales. This was because of the company's move to switch hardware suppliers to ensure future iMac units more affordable.
