Billionaire and Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone has officially thrown his support behind Donald Trump, reversing years of criticism.
In an interview with CNBC on Tuesday, the 89-year-old businessman said he is "sold" on Trump and admitted that turning away from him after January 6 was a "mistake."
Langone, who once supported President Joe Biden and backed Nikki Haley in the 2024 Republican primaries, now says Trump has shown strong leadership.
"Like it or not, this guy is getting things done," Langone said. "I've never been more excited about the future of America."
According to FinancialExpress, Langone had once expressed fear that Trump would use another term in office to seek revenge. In 2024, he told sources he was worried Trump would focus on "getting even."
But in his latest comments, Langone said, "I'm happy to say, I'm comfortable he's not doing that."
The billionaire praised Trump's handling of military action in Iran, calling it "miraculous." He also said the proposed "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" could boost the U.S. economy. "It has a lot of merit," Langone noted.

Langone Slams Past Tariff Comments, Praises Trump's Leadership
Langone's relationship with Trump has changed over time. He supported him back in 2016, but after the Capitol riot in 2021, he said he felt deeply let down.
At that time, Langone promised to support Biden and criticized Trump's trade policies.
In April, he spoke out against Trump's tariff policies, calling the 46% tariff on Vietnam unreasonable and saying the 34% tariff on China was overly aggressive, Forbes said.
Now, Langone says he sees things differently. "When you make a mistake, admit it," he said. He also added that "people are walking with more bounce," showing his optimism about the country under Trump's leadership.
Langone also spoke about the rise of antisemitism in the US, saying he's concerned about how younger generations are responding.
He pointed to Jewish voters in New York who supported candidate Zohran Mamdani, saying, "I don't even understand the Jews sometimes."
While some may be surprised by Langone's shift, he says he's confident in his decision. "I'm sold on him," he told CNBC.
