According to local news reports in Taiwan, Foxconn looked for a massive amount of new employees just in time for the company's launch of the much awaited iPhone 5S. Foxconn is a major manufacturing partner of Apple.

The Taiwanese media group Focus Tawian reported that the local manufacturing company was open for over 90,000 new workers for its plant in Shenzen. Speculations from experts said that this mass hiring was due to Apple's expected launch of its flagship smartphone series. The iPhone 5S, according to observers, will be launched in the last quarter.

Foxconn is the primary iPhone producer of Apple. Recent reports said that the giant tech firm asked Foxconn's rival Pegatron to manufacture for it as well. The Taiwanese company had a history of conflicts with Apple. In the past, millions of defective and unsellable iPhones were returned by Apple. Production delays also hounded the entire Apple pipeline.

Shares of Apple suppliers in Taiwan gained recently in the local market due to a huge boost in iPhone sales. The rally was headed by Hon Hai Precision and Largan.
