T-Mobile is expected to release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow build to its versions of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 "very soon," as one unit has been accidentally updated. It is the first time for an off-the-wall incident to happen in the history of Android.

A unit of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 on T-Mobile was updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, revealed by an XDA member last November 15. Accordingly, the device of the member named "danon.brown" was running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop that has a broken IMEI. This situation brought his Galaxy Note 5's EFS corrupted causing his IMEI to become corrupted as well.

The XDA member was caught off guard when his T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5 started to update to Marshmallow that day.

This news brought the tech department crazy as it has been accounted too strange to happen. T-Mobile has not released a statement regarding the "accident".

In the wake of this accident, a new leak has been revealed that the Galaxy Note 5 model will be receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade in December. This is contrary to the previously announced first quarter release.

Eligible device has model number SM-N920G. The news came from the British site TimesNews.co.uk, revealing other details of the release of the new build to Samsung's other devices like the Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge will get the upgrade in February, while the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy ALPHA are still on the waiting, whose release dates has not been made available for now.

According to the leaked photo, the Galaxy Note 5 model has already been approved for release along with the Galaxy S6 Edge+.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow software will bring in new notable features and enhancements focusing on the user interface, battery, app permissions, app links, app drawer, Android Pay, fingerprint sensor and the list goes on.
