Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is set for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade in December 2015, a new leak has revealed. With Samsung's announcement last month that the upgrade indeed is coming in the fourth quarter of 2015, the leak confirmed the update will come in next month.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow software will start the ball rolling to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 device next month as the new build has already been approved. According to the leaked photo, qualified Galaxy Note 5 has model number SM-N920G.

As to the veracity of the photo, a Samsung logo was used as the letterhead with date October 29, 2015 underneath, while it was watermarked with TimesNews.co.uk. Two tables named Android 6.0 Update Guide were separated with Phase 1 and Phase 2 each.

A previous leak from the same site had been let out a week ago although it was detailed than the newer one. There has been already reports since October that the update will come to the device in December but readers were noted to take it with a pinch of salt since the news was not confirmed by the South Korean giant.

Per report from Android Community, the Galaxy Note 5 will be the first Samsung device to get a taste of the upgrade along with Galaxy S6 Edge+. Both devices have been released last September, taking the event in New York by storm.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S6 will get the same upgrade by January while the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge by February. Older devices Galaxy S5 and Galaxy ALPHA have not been indicated when to get the upgrade as they are still waiting for the approval of the build.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come in with new features and improvements. One of the most notable enhancements is the fingerprint support.

The fingerprint sensor for Marshmallow can be used to unlock phone, make purchases and sign in to several apps and services, a considerably great convenience factor for the users.
